You’re Invited!!!
I’m so excited (and a tad nervous) because I’m getting ready to record our next Bible study series. I gotta tell you, the last few months of writing about The Armor of God have been intense for many reasons.
First, because the lessons I’ve learned have hit a deep place in my heart, making an indelible imprint. Also because the time frame I’ve had to work within has been particularly tight.
Every day of 2015, while the kids have been busy with school, I’ve been studying. And writing. There are more random documents, books and binders full of study materials laying around my house than my husband and children appreciate.
These boys of mine have heard more details about Roman soldiers’ armor and warfare and standing firm than they care to. They probably think I’m getting ready to enlist in the US military soon. All they’ve heard me talk about are helmets and shields and swords and, well . . . you get the idea. But, every now and then, I catch an area of their interest (or I say something I haven’t already said twenty times before) and their eyes twinkle with intrigue while I describe something I’ve found exciting. It’s been enriching for all of us! (I think.)
In any case, I hope it will be for you!
Looking with brand new eyes into this well-know passage about how to dress for spiritual victory has made me excited – all over again – about who we are in Christ and what He has given us to stand firm against the enemy’s attacks.
Bringing this message to video is always the nerve-wracking and yet fun climax of the Bible-study writing process. Having you, my friends, in the audience always calms my nerves and makes me feel like I’ve got “partners” in the process.
So, I’m inviting you to join me for the taping. It would be an honor to have you in the studio audience for one or all of the nights we will record at Church on the Hill in Cedar Hill, Texas.
