Yesterday, I got so wrapped up in cookie instructions that I forgot to ask one very important question.
What is YOUR favorite Christmas tradition? What says “NOW it’s Christmas!” to you?
For me, it’s the cookies. It’s also the Norwegian Lefse that we make every year. Lefse is like a tortilla, except it is made out of potatoes and spread with butter and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. My parents and grandparents would argue that it’s not Christmas without something called “lutefisk,” but to be honest, I can do without that tradition! (If you don’t know what it is…let’s just say ignorance is bliss. Enjoy not knowing.)
We would love to hear about your family’s traditions. Have you started new ones with your children, or blended some with your spouse’s favorites to come up with your own? Do you have any special ways to help your family focus on Jesus – and not all the STUFF? We could all use some suggestions there.
Have a great weekend, and we can’t wait to read your traditions!
