Thank you so much for all your debt busting stories yesterday! Reading them helped strengthen my own resolve to keep working at living within my means, and having a plan for getting (and staying) out of debt. Seeing the commitment of others in this area is so encouraging. Yes, I really CAN say “no” to that cute sweater and “yes” to breaking free from the bondage of Visa!
Several of you mentioned the TIME it takes to get things paid down. And while there is no overnight cure, the other thing that stood out was that having a goal makes all the difference. Colleen said that this is their first Christmas to be paid for BEFORE Christmas . . . congratulations, that is such a great accomplishment. That, in and of itself, has got to feel good. Kristin T’s goal of not bringing debt into marriage really motivated her to chop up those bills. And Melinda M. issued a credit card challenge: try living without one! Wow, way to throw down the gauntlet . . . who is up for it??
For our winner this week, we’ve chosen Tanya! Tanya is right where a bunch of people are: at the beginning stages of making lifestyle changes to turn things around. What struck us about her comment was how she and her husband are seeking the Lord’s guidance and working on making better decisions. They are listening to the message that God’s been revealing to them and are acting on it. You know, if we would ALL adopt that attitude (in every area!) how much better would things be!
Tanya says, “God has reminded me of something that has helped greatly, MATH. How much does it cost, How much do you have? Be a good steward of what God has given and TRUST HIM!”
Well said! Tanya, send us an email at info@goingbeyond.com and give us your mailing address so we can get your prize to you.
Have a great weekend everyone!
