Happy Tuesday my friends! I want to share with you a funny story that happened to me last week and then get you all’s opinion on something. So, here goes…I was minding my own business at Starbucks, picking up Linnae and I some coffee, and I was wearing this……..
Now before I tell y’all what happened next, let me present to you some friendly facts…I live in Texas. On that particular day it was about 68 degrees. In Texas we do not have real seasons.
Moving on with the story.
This random guy comes up to me and says, “Ma’am, you know you’re not supposed to be wearing white after Labor Day”. *Long Pause* I turned around and took a quick glance around the room because I was for sure he wasn’t talking to me, but when I noticed that I was the only one wearing white, I came to myself and politely said, “Excuse me”! And then y’all, HE REPEATED HIMSELF AGAIN!!! All I could think was, “No he just did not call me out on wearing white”! Ha! But instead of being confident in my decision to wear white, I starting thinking to myself, “Well, should I be sporting white linen pants in September?” So, I did the only thing I knew to do, which was, rush to work and ask the fashionista that I sit next to everyday, Ms. Linnae!
Linnae and I both came to the conclusion that wearing white shoes after Labor Day is a no, no, but white pants are totally fine! She even solidified our decision by sending me the below article.
