I
hope you are doing well today. I’ve gotta admit, I am a bit tired. Like
many of you, I had a very full weekend, packed with lots of wonderful
things – not the least of which was an amazing conference with women who
gathered in Lynchburg, VA. (After which, storms delayed
us for 10 hours on our way home, and later my son hit his head, had to to be taken
to the ER and got 6 stitches ๐ It’s always something isn’t it?
We had an extraordinary time in the Word and in worship together at the
Going Beyond conference though. I think that I can say with full
assurance that we were all a bit stunned by the power and obvious
presence of God’s Spirit among us. I’m grateful for it.
Yesterday, on the blog, we showed you how you can connect with us in
prayer for the many requests that were texted in during our prayer time.
Please take some time to click on the link in that post and continue to
keep these requests covered.
I also wanted to share with you the incredible way that my heart is
overwhelmed by the generosity that the women showed as we collected items
for “Miriam’s House” – a ministry in the Lynchburg area that ministers
to homeless women and their children.

Helping outreaches like this one is quickly becoming one of the most
AMAZING parts of the Going Beyond Events for me. I’m stunned by how
something as small and seemingly insignificant as a roll of paper
towels can make such a difference in someone’s life. But it does – and a
spokesperson from Miriam’s House emailed us today to let us know that
they have NEVER, in all their years, seen an outpouring of generosity on
their behalf like the one expressed through the women gathered at Going
Beyond this past weekend. She said that they have enough supplies to
last them a full year or more!
THANK YOU, sisters!
Together, we are making an incredible difference. Not only in Lynchburg but across the world. During the Going Beyond Simulcast we brought the Watoto ministry to your attention – to date we have raised OVER $60,000 for them!
Did you hear that?
Sixty Thousand Dollars!
And the total is steadily rising!
I’m grateful to you guys for joining with me to impact others. Looking
forward to continuing on this journey with you. It’s our honor to serve
you. . . . .as we serve others.

PS I asked a question at the end of the video – did you catch it? ๐ In what practical, tangible ways are you impacting your community? Please share with us!
