Am I getting punked?
Seriously.
There is either something totally wrong with me or I’m getting the wool pulled over my eyes with a vengeance.
One of my best friends just emailed me this picture:
She asked me if I saw white and gold or black and blue. I couldn’t understand why she’d be asking me something like that. I mean, my friend can see. She doesn’t even wear glasses or contacts so I was completely baffled about why she was texting to ask me about the color of a dress.
Especially since the colors were so obvious: white and gold.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who has been asked that question. Turns out, a global debate has arisen with some 36 million people arising in fierce debate during the last 24 hours. Everyone from widely known celebrities to regular folk & friends (i.e. me and my texting buddy) have looked closely and carefully at this little number only to have hugely differing opinions.
Seems impossible, right?
I’d have thought so too . . . until I scrolled back through my texts to look at the photo again and, low and behold, that sucker was as blue as the sky – fringed with black lace.
What the heck? Am I color blind? Or is this the best optical illusion of all time?
I don’t know. I’m still confused and can’t stare at this dress for another minute.
