Have
you ever been in a place where you felt really
small….unnoticed….forgotten, or just plain ol insignificant? Whether
you were at work, at a family function, at school or even at church.
You came into the place smiling on the outside, but what people failed
to notice was the battle that was going on within. Your heart was heavy
and your need was great. You desperately needed a word from the Lord.
You needed Him to come down from Heaven and speak to the depths of your
soul. You. needed. Him.
Trust
me, I know exactly how you feel. I had one of those days last week. I
was at a function and I was laughing and enjoying myself on the outside,
but within I was struggling. Truth be told, I was having a temper
tantrum with the Lord and I wasn’t winning. Right at the moment when I
was going to lose it….like, I wasn’t going to fake it anymore. I was
going to stop mid conversation with the person I was talking to and I
was going to burst out into the ugly cry, but just in the nick of time,
this lady (who had no idea what I was going through) walked up to me,
wrapped her arms around me tightly and softly whispered these words into
my ear…
“Can
a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the
child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I
have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before
me”. Isaiah 49:15-16
WOW!
Has that ever happened to you? Someone with no knowledge of your
situation, comes up to you and says something that you KNOW came
straight from the Lord?
I could
not believe that the silent cries of my heart, were not so silent after
all. He saw me and He heard me and He rushed to His child’s rescue and
in that moment, the Lord gave me exactly what I needed and more.
Where
ever you are my friend and no matter how small or insignificant you may
feel, please know that the Lord sees YOU. He sees you crying yourself to
sleep at night. He sees your wounded heart and He sees your
restlessness.
He sees YOU and He has not and will not ever forget about you.
Will you trust Him today?
Until next time,Antrenette
